Hi everyone, I have tried googling this but no joy so I wondered if anyone here knew the answer!

I am renting a house and have a 3 year lease. A letter arrived yesterday addressed to a business. It is not the previous tenant as I have met him and handed over mail for him before. I checked out the company on companies house and it is indeed registered to this house. It’s not the landlord’s name either that is registered as the director. What should I do, if anything!

I would pass it onto the agent or landlord, and follow up to make sure you find out what they've done about it.

I’d do nothing apart from return the post with not at this address noted

Thanks everyone, I go through an estate agent so I will contact them today about it and see what they say. I could also return the letter with 'not at this address' as it looked like some kind of bill and I don't want bailiffs turning up!

Our tenants had this. It is a scam. Thousands upon thousands of fake companies are being set up with companies house, mainly by Chinese nationals. I reported it to companies house and they said they are absolutely inundated with them. Usually for online sales.

Trying to get Companies house to remove it is near impossible - I've been trying for about 5 months.
