Court Case not listed on Family Court

Dear Mums,
I am reaching out as a matter of feeling so wronged by the justice system .
A little back story DS is now 18 months but his father abandoned us when I was literally 5 days pregnant .
I was an asylum seeker ,luckily was able to work and provide for my son .
I had a decision made by the Asylum team who had asked if I had changed circumstance and informed them of my change of circumstances .They later made a Decision and wrote that I had no child ,therefore they didn't put into perspective that I have a vulnerable child .
Anyway ,I took DS's dad to court when DS was 4 months .
His father accused me of cheating on him and then demanded a DNA test which I agreed to .
It turned out positive and I had a court date set to get a declaration of parentage for my son and him to get his citizenship

However on the court date I went on time and I was informed that the court had not listed my case and the person who was in charge of my case was not in .
I was informed that they didn't know when they would get me a date.I informed them that I don't have weeks or months wait as I am out of work and therefore a loss of income .This makes me vulnerable to homelessness as with the declaration of parentage my son would atleast be spared as he was a British Child.
I currently don't have any family in this country .
Any helpful tips i will be grateful .
Concerned mum.

Very frustrating at the court, but not uncommon I'm afraid, the admin can be very disorganised because they're so busy. Send them an email asking for the hearing to be relisted and follow up a week later by phone.
