Something quite shocking has happened at my place of work involving me and I've been told I can't discuss it but something feels off.

Acas might be helpful, Op.

You may have a free call with a lawyer included in your household insurance policy?

tomatoontoast · 08/12/2023 13:49

I might be able to help OP. I'm on my lunch break to 2.15pm if you want to PM me.

I can ask a colleague for advice too if it's not my area of expertise.

No problem. I'm on hand today if you need my help.

tomatoontoast · 10/12/2023 12:59

PM me if you think it might be helpful.

No employer can prevent you from taking legal advice. You need to ensure you speak to someone with the specific expertise you need.

How do I PM? Do I need premium membership

Look at the post by tomatoontoast and find the 3 dots in the upper right hand corner, click on those, and then select the option PM, and take it from there.

MissLucyEyelesbarrow · 10/12/2023 14:01

Whatever has happened, make some notes now about your recollection of what occurred. Try to keep them very factual and unemotional. Crucially, though, do not send them/share them with anyone until you have spoken to a lawyer.

OhComeOnFFS · 10/12/2023 14:05

If it's something that has happened to you then surely they can't stop you from discussing it with anyone you want to outside of work?

I don't think it works like that on the app, though, does it? I've never worked out how to send a message from my phone.

nauticant · 10/12/2023 14:12

Ahh, I forgot about the app. I access MN by web browser either on my phone or on a PC.

leather2099 · 10/12/2023 14:20

I've sent a PM but it will appear from an old username as I'm using the app on my phone and can't send messages here.
