So just getting my passport out for a work trip next week and glanced at my birth certificates. I have my original birth certificate and then my adoption certificate.
I always knew that my birth name ended in ‘a’ where as since adoption I have always been called the same beams but it ends in ‘e’
inalways thought it was changed when I was adopted and have always been called the E version, it’s on all my records, and passports, obviously my marriage certificate, kids birth certificates etc.
mice just looked at my adoption very and noticed that it is also the name beginning with a so all my life I’ve been going by the wrong name!!!
obviously I am now called the name ending in e but is there any legal issue regarding my passport etc??!! My first passport was applied for by my parents so I assume they sent of birth very etc.
mom not overly worried just a little bemused.

My partners name on his birth certificate is spelt differently to his passport and driving licence, never caused any problems. He recently applied for a new bank account and had to give his passport number and a copy of his birth certificate, they never said anything and it has never caused previous issues with passport or licence renewal, child benefit claims or anything. He goes by the spelling on his passport even though I would assume that's technically the wrong one as the birth certificate was the first issued document so every future document should have been based off that
