Psychologist report thrown out of Family Court - ADVICE NEEDED

Hi, I had a really AWFUL directions hearing where a psychological report that identified the father was a risk to both mother and child and should not have unsupervised contact has been thrown out.
With the Guardian's backing, the Father's Barrister's managed to get the report struck out and a new expert appointed to undertake a new report.
Do I have to agree to the use of this expert? is it a recommendation from the Guardian.
In addition, does anyone have any experience of a report being thrown out and a new report being undertaken and it being completely different?
I am so stressed and scared.
We had a fact finding where significant findings were made against the Father with respect to his child, but I feel these are being glossed over. At the Directions hearing he was just treated like a victim, and the Guardian believes all of his lies.
I am so hopeless and if I knew the family court was going to be like this, I would have just stayed with him.

If the court has appointed a new expert, you need to co-operate. If you don't, it could be held against you.

A court appointed expert is supposed to be neutral. So not your or the father’s choice as that is deemed fairest. Best to cooperate. As they say, the truth will out.

Thank you for your replies. Just scared the new report will be vastly different.

Do you have a barrister? Sounds like you need sound advice and advocacy.
