Lease car in a non-fault RTA

I wondered if anyone has experience of this. I was driven into from behind while stationary and my lead car is very likely a write-off.
My insurance provider passed me onto their recommended Accident Management company who are dealing with the process.
I also had a call from the other driver's insurer, stating they accepted liability.
So far, so good - I have a replacement car and the process is being managed.
What I am not clear on is: the contract for the replacement car is until 'five days after settling' so once the car is deemed a write-off, the lease company gets their compensation. But where does it leave me? I can't get a new car in a matter of weeks. I looked at potential new lease, lead times are about 8-12 weeks for a similar car. How do I get that period covered?
Anyone had anything similar?

Was the replacement paid for by your insurace or the lease company or the other drivers insurance?
Go back to your lease company and ask what their obligation is under the contract.
Should they be providing you with a replacement under the lease (they reclaim that off the other driver) or will their contract with you stop once the car is written off?
If not you need to go back to your insurances accident management company and see if the claim can include your cost of a short term rental.

Thank you - I will reach out to them and ask!
So much hassle and admin and associated stress...

I had a similar situation this summer, if it's not too late to get out of the arrangement with the AMC I would advise you to, and get your insurers to arrange it all. AMC contracts for replacement cars can get messy. Look up other threads on here about them. HTH

Having had a less car written off as stolen a couple of months ago we had only 3 weeks cyber I'd a hire car and ended up ordering an a available now lease car that was closest to that we had and sucking up it wasn't our ideal - that would have been a 6mo wait and a short term rental was crazy money
