Who does your solicitor work with? Most barristers are engaged by solicitors but some are direct access. The lists from Chambers and Partners, UK Bar, Family: children gives a steer on the top chambers.

Ask your solicitor - it is them
who will make the recommendations arrangements

You said this before. Lots of people told you why this might be the case. Just get solicitor to ask for another barrister from the chambers! Not that difficult. You do have to accept that a barrister runs the case. Not you. If you know better, you can self represent.

We found Suzanne fantastic, for the short time we had dealings with her. If I could start over I would've done all the solicitor stuff myself (ours was truly shit) and just gone straight to using a barrister for the court stuff.

We never met face to face as we had an online hearing.
