Neighbours CCTV camera pointing and recording through bedroom and kitchen window

My son has been having trouble with his neighbour since he moved into his flat. The neighbour even moved my sons car with a fork lift truck and the police didn't do anything even though my son said he wanted to press charges. Now yesterday the police came to see my son and explained the neighbour's CCTV camera is pointing directly into my sons bedroom and kitchen window and has been recording him. The police told my son that they have told the neighbour they have 1 week to delete the recording of my son but surely they should have made sure the recording were deleted immediately. The cctv camera is still in the same position and as far as my son is aware still recording him. He called the police back and asked them to go and tell him to point the camera off my sons window but they in no rush to do anything. Surely this is illegal? What can my son do about this with immediate effect. Advice needed asap

Jesus this is awful! Can he contact his local MP or any active councillors to get them to put pressure on this guy.

is the person renting or do they own the home? Just thinking they could go to landlord then.

think I’d be putting something on a localised community group to see if anyone else has had serious privacy issues with a neighbour on X Street. You often find they are known to the community and may have previous or other ongoing reports against them. Then you can band together with neighbours or MP and push more for something to be done.

or could your son contact all the neighbours and inform them of what he’s been doing so other are aware as a matter of safety.

Wondering if this counts as harassment amongst other things. You can normally get a free legaL consultation for more help on that side.
