I bought a new vacuum cleaner online, from a well-known manufacturing company, using their own website. And got a very good deal in their spring offers section- or so I thought.
I paid using PayPal in 3 (paying over 3 instalments to help spread the cost), but didn't get any confirmation email & the transaction didn't complete with PayPal.
So I phoned them back a couple of days later (by which point the item had increased in price) & spoke to someone in their call centre (India I think) & they managed to find to find the order, said they'd honour the price & send it out next day delivery. Paid it on credit card.
This was last Thursday & of course it's been the bank holiday weekend - but today no item has been delivered, no emails about despatch, no order confirmation & my credit card has not been charged.
I suspect they may have sold out of the item or realised the price was a bit low & pulled the advert.
Are they obliged to send me the item at the cost it was advertised?
Is there anything I can do here?
