Car accident, not my fault, insurance won't pick answer our calls

Hello,

About a month ago I got hit from behind, they accepted fault straight away, got the car into a garage to get a quote to fix the minor damage, and now we haven't heard anything back and can't get an answer from either the person who is dealing with the claim, or even their general number. DH has tried every day, waiting over 30 minutes before having to go back to work tasks. I don't have the type of job I can do calls from and very little phone reception at breaks.

The lines are only open in either time and we both work. Who else can we call? Citizens advice maybe? Thanks for any advice!

Eh? You don't need to phone them. You phone yours. Report it. Then that's it!

Are you trying to contact your insurance or the other drivers? I'm confused.

You have informed your insurance haven’t you?
You can often communicate through the apps these days rather than by phone

Yes we've spoken to our insurance the day it happened and they said if we're happy dealing direct with the other sides insurance. We were happy, until they've become unreachable.

We are trying to get the damage to our vehicle repaired at their garage or to get the money so we can repair it at a garage of our choosing.

DH actually got through today after 40 minutes, only for them to transfer him to a number that said it was disconnected Then the line went dead. I'll try our insurance, Thanks
