Proof of sending with DX? Possible lying solicitor

We are selling a house and buying a house. Our solicitor maintains that they sent our signed missives for the new house we are buying 3 months ago. Other party’s solicitor are saying that our solicitor has requested new missives twice, they’ve been sent 3 copies in total. Our solicitor said they were ‘baffled’ as to why they have been sent them again.

Our solicitor claims the original missives were sent by DX 3 months ago. They have no copy and didn’t get confirmation of delivery/receipt from the other party (despite saying that standard practice is they would).

We’re really concerned that they are lying to us. If they sent the documents by DX as they say, is there any way they can provide proof they were sent if we request it? I’m not sure how DX works. Any help would be appreciated. We have lost trust in them and have very little time left before selling and buying. So worried we’re going to lose our sale as well as the new house down to their errors they won’t admit to.

Worked in an estate agency last year. DX just went into a bag and sent straight there, no proof of delivery/sending other than a manual register we kept for each day with the date and address of what had been sent out

Thank you. So they may have their own logging system but nothing official.

Not sure where to go from here if we don’t trust them and are almost certain they are lying to us 😕
