Distribution of estate following probate

The executors won't speak to one of the beneficiaries. The estate is being handled by a probate solicitor for the executors. Probate was issued

How does the excluded beneficiary know if he has been given the amount he is due and can he check with the probate solicitor if he is being treated fairly. Will the probate solicitor give him this information?

My understanding is that once probate is granted, the will becomes a public document for all to see. However, beneficiaries should be able to see a copy of the will. Get them to speak to the solicitor dealing with the estate/probate.

As the previous poster says, the will is now available from the probate registry. The beneficiaries are entitled to see the estate accounts when the executors distribute the estate, so the beneficiary should be able to tell from that if they have received their expected share.

Brilliant. Thank you.
