Deedpool name change... Can tracing agency still find me?

Would a tracing agency (Relative Connections) still be able to trace a person if they change their name by deed pool? I mean change it to a name the searcher isn't aware of?

Deed poll OP...there's no pool. And yes, as all legally changed names are published in The Gazette.

Actually I might be wrong about that...check, but maybe it's not automatically published? Mine was, but thinking back, I may just have agreed to this part of the process.

Whether it is published depends on whether it is enrolled. It is not necessary to enrol a change of name.

Regardless of whether the change of name is enrolled, a tracing agency may still be able to find you. A change of name makes it harder, but not necessarily impossible.
