Getting medical information about birth parents when adopted France

I Apologise in advance if I'm posting this in wrong place.
I know this is a long shot but are there any French people on here who might be able to give me some advice.

My son is sick, he see Genetics but they need to know medical history of both my family and my husband's.

My husband is French and unfortunately is adopted and knows nothing about his birth family or there medical history or possible inherited medical conditions. Even his adoptive parents know nothing about his birth parents.

Genetics have told us we need to try and get this information or they might not be able to find out what's wrong with our son.

Is there any way for him to get medical history of his birth family. He has no desire to contact or get to know his birth family we just need to know his family medical history urgently.

We have searched and searched online and have found nothing and don't know where to start or if it's even possible to get this information.

My husband say he thinks all this information is sealed and he is not allowed access to this information.

Is this true surely if there are urgent medical grounds for needing this information he should be allowed it.

Any advice much appreciated

Thanks in advance

I don't know about getting information but I know that in France, you can (or could) give birth under 'X' which mean that no detail of genetic parents is released and in that case, there really is no way to know anything.

Could it try to contact the agency that arranged the adoption?
