Legal aid - what is the limit on savings?

I've seen £8k quoted somewhere, but wasn't sure if this is correct?

You are correct for civil proceedings, with the exception of immigration matters where the threshold is lower. For domestic violence cases, the threshold is waived although other eligibility conditions have to be met.
