Anyone here can recommend a good solicitor for selling and buying a house in SE London?

Someone who is quick and gets the job done would be great!

Thanks x

We have used SO Legal for our last 3 house moves and would never use anyone else now. They are the only solicitor I have never had to chase or follow up with (we have moved 8 times)

Seema in particular has been exceptional.

I know they have a London office, but we have always completed everything online, never had to go in person.

Gary Josephs at Nelsons Solicitors was fantastic with our sale and purchase.

@winstonsfinger @AwkwardPaws27 I will email both for a quote. Thank you!

Cook Taylor Woodhouse in Eltham were fab 👍

Seconding Cook Taylor Woodhouse, they took over from another solicitor I had who was working at glacial speed. CTW were brilliant.

Thackray Williams (West Wickham) were amazingly efficient - I used them to sell my late parents house last year.

Not for us. Seemed to make mistake after mistake, were slow and all of their correspondence had spelling mistakes in.

We used Anthony Gold in Streatham but that was 20 years ago! They were very good.

We used Meaby & Co in Camberwell when we bought our house/sold flat in 2015. Excellent, couldn't fault them. Good communication and thorough. Peter Russell was the conveyancing Partner I believe.

We also used them more recently (2020) on some dispute resolution work with contractors and again, would highly recommend.
