Family court judge.. What can I do

Is there anything I can do to get a particular judge off our case.
He has reserved the case to himself.
He is so awful.
Cafcass have written directly to him 4 times and he's ignored every single letter.
We've submitted a recusal application and he refused.
Is there anything at all that can be done?

You have to appeal.

What level judge is he? Distict? Circuit?

Deputy District judge.
Do I have grounds to appeal that though?

That is for your barrister to advise.

You have grounds of appeal if you can show a mistake of law, procedural error, or that the decision was plainly wrong, or plainly unfair. If the Judge has not given adequate reasons for disregarding CAFCASS or other expert advice, that is your way in.

I assume you have legal aid, in which case the LAA has to amend your certificate first

Time frames are extremely tight, so your barrister should have advised on merits of appeal, and sought permission to appeal at the hearing.
