4 years later, he wants stuff from the family home

Exh and I split 4 years ago and he moved out. I stayed in the (mortgaged) family home with the dc and he rented a flat with his new partner. At the time, he told me what he wanted from the family home and took it. He left some of his stuff behind (books, clothing, tech, rugby paraphernalia) so after a few months I dropped it all off to him.

Now we are almond divorced and I'm buying him out of the house, he has, out of the blue, sent me a list of things he wants from the house. Mostly tech, some furniture.

After all this time, can I just tell him "nope"? I'm not a free storage facility and this is stuff I paid for and want to keep.

What is the agreement in the financial order about personal belongings and furniture?

DiamondBright · 19/10/2021 21:49

This is his last chance to ask, once the house is (I assume) transferred into your name he loses all rights to the property and contents.

I refused to handover furniture and things we were using, but gave him anything that was his personal stuff.

Perhaps you can say, I dropped off everything you asked for plus all your personal items that I could find 4 years ago. The DC use all these things so aren't available to hand over.
