Hi long story short a friend has asked me to post asking for any information she was in a relationship for 4 years with a man had a baby while she found out he was in court charged with certain images she had the baby when he was sent for prison for just 1 year he is now seeking parental responsibility for their child he is not on the child's birth certificate friend is wanting to know if a judge will grant him any rights or will this be entirely up to the courts to decide many thanks

In England? If they weren’t married and he’s not named on the birth certificate, the only way he can get parental responsibility is to go to court. It will be up to the judge to decide if it’s in the best interests of the child. So your friend should consider what evidence she has that this would not be good for the child.
