I am a claimant in Small Claims Court. I have received an offer to settle and intend to reply with with a counter-offer.
They gave me 7 days to accept their offer. Do I need to do the same?
If I do that, the deadline for exchange of documents prior to the hearing (this Friday) will have expired.
If I file my documents anyway (incurring a lot of work) the other side will have all my evidence to look at before , possibly not send theirs and still have time to accept my offer if they wish.
Hence my question! Would it be reasonable to only allow them two days to reply?
