It's a sorry saga.

I'd waited more than five years for date to come up when ex was supposed to pay me half the net equity of the house.

By some people's income it is not a vast amount (over 60k) but obviously very important to me as a single parent.

The date when he was supposed to pay came and went. Several months ago now. Ex had been repeatedly saying he was trying to get a remortgage in order to pay me.

I originally had a solicitor but due to ex's stalling it was costing me a lot so handled it myself which has been unbelievebly stressful but I've done it.

Ex is just about to get the money according to what I know from the remortgage agency, the agreement was that he would then forward the amount I am due to me.

There is approximately ten days until the next court date (the first one was adjourned as ex didn't show)

My question is, if ex doesn't pay this week and money not there on my bank account, do I just go ahead with the hearing

and possibly put an application in for contempt of court (since he is in breach of the original court order)?
