My ex-husband sadly died 2 years ago. I am now completely alone with 3 kids, 2 with autism, and no other support at all. I have been working, but it’s very hard as my youngest girl needs my support, and has been refusing to go to school.
Their dad left a substantial sum of money about 800k for them, and the will does stipulate this can be accessed by a guardian for maintenance and education. I feel like the lawyer is really dragging her feet. Still waiting to hear about inheritance tax and to get me approved as third trustee (my brother and his sister are the current executors).
Does anyone have any experience of how I should ask for maintenance and how much? I have a lawyer.

I have no clue about that but are you claiming everything you could be eligible for with two ASD children to help in the meantime? I hope someone comes along with knowledge soon, it must be difficult Flowers
