My daughter was run over in France - minor to foot, but another girl was more seriously hurt and the driver hasn't been given bail (not sure why not). The Medecin Legiste has given my DD 10 days of Incapacité Totale de Travail. There's a court case coming up soon and apparently she needs to say how much compensation she wants. She has no idea what to say. Doesn't want to be greedy, and take money from the French state for no reason. However, she gets the impression that compensation is a normal part of the system and doesn't want to miss out on some cash if she's genuinely entitled to some. She only missed out on half a week of work as she had leave straight after the accident anyway, but she's worried that ongoing injury may stop her playing football for her uni next year, which, though unpaid, is an important part of her life. Does anyone have any advice on how to work out a suitable amount of compensation to ask for (if any)?
