Occupation of witness to signature

I need to get my signature witnessed, I would normally ask someone from work but I WFH over a hour from my place of work. Locally I only have family or friends from the school run. My three friends from the school run I know well enough to ask are all SAHM but the form is asking for their occupation are they legally able to witness the document for me? Do they complete the occupational section as SAHM or leave blank?

Depends what sort of form it is, and what the requirements are. If occupation isn't important for the form, then maybe put something like "homemaker" as this is what you'd put for occupation on car insurance etc. Does the form specify what occupations are suitable for witnesses?

It is fine to say "housewife/homemaker" or similar for occupation.

If its just to witness the signature they don't have to have any particular occupation and can just write 'housewife' (or what ever they choose).
