What is a waiver of moral rights? And what does it mean practically?

Someone is being interviewed about a their creation/production and has been asked the waive their moral rights

What does it actually mean?

Not my area but I'd suggest it means they give up their rights to be known as the author / creator of their creation.

Yeah - that's kind of what I read on Google

Then another bit said something about if they edit it you can't complain about the edit
