What happens if the other party doesn't turn up to fact finding hearing.. Family court?

Just that really.
Ex had made mirror allegations of domestic abuse and we have a 3 day listed fact finding. His solicitor has left the firm he had representation from and disappeared of the fact of the earth, ex has ignored an order to file a statement in response to mine by months and months so my solicitor made an application to get an order to submit a statement in 7 days which he's also ignored... He's stopped going to the contact centre.. Last two sessions he hasn't turned up.
What will happen if he doesn't show up to our fact finding? The domestic abuse was perpetrated by him towards both DD and I.. I'm hopeful hat the domestic abuse act will play heavily in recognising she is also a victim as well as me.

There's a few different things that could happen. From your other posts, your case is unlikely to end with anything other than indirect or supervised contact. The latest refusal to engage with contact or proceedings will almost certainly work out well for you.

I really hope so. Its like he's disappeared off the face of the earth.

Hopefully he's decided not to persue contact then Smile

Would contact ever increase at a fact finding hearing? I believe we have the fact finding then shortly after a section 7 will be ordered.

Yes it could and often does. It depends on the outcomes of fact finding.

Even if he's purposely missed contact, he's violent, abusive towards his child as well as me and is considered a danger by police, children's services and cafcass???
