Hi any family lawyers or judges out there. Do you think you are more likely to get a good outcome if you have a solicitor rather than self represent? The other party is self representing. It’s complicated a relocation and child care with domestic abuse issues. I have legal advise telling me what to do. But I’ve been writing and presenting myself. Would I get a better outcome with a solicitor and barrister or is the judge more interested in the facts ( which I think I can present well). Honest answers. I’m self funding don’t qualify for legal aid so would rather not pay the 10,000s I have been quoted. Thanks

Why don't you qualify for legal aid is it because the abuse wasn't documented?

No it’s because of my income. I want to relocate etc need to buy a house so I wanted my income for my children’s future.

My dhs ex was an absolute control freak and tried to control every aspect of dh seeing dsc.
He self represented. And got everything he requested and more. He didn't need a solicitor. It helped she dug herself in a hole and the judge saw through her.
