If you are on benefits will you get legal aid for a solicitor for child contact? Exp threatened with a CAO but has no job.

Abusive relationship, non mol in place, not on the birth certificate.

If you don't, you could try Rights of Women.

I already get legal aid for the non molestation. He is threatening me with court and not sure if he will get aid for it.

He should not be contacting you what so ever if a non mol is in place, report it as he is breaching the court order, ignore his threats.

@SakuraEdenSwan1 this was at court. My barrister told me he is applying for a child arrangement order. I looked at him confused saying we both know he cant do that as he's not on the birth certificate.

He could take you to court to be put on the birth certificate and for child contact at same time I think?

Jiggygoo · 15/03/2021 06:21

@omg35 I am not sure, I don't think hes the child's bio father due to circumstances. He also told the police he did not sleep with me at the time of conception. I feel like hes doing it to abuse me further.

If he applies for parental responsibility a DNA test will be done to determine if he is the biological father

Even him not being the df may still be applicable for him to apply for contact if he played a role in the dc's life for a considerable time.
