What happens if ex husband doesn’t follow court order to leave house?

So I had my final court case for finances. Judge awarded I pay him out house and take on mortgage. I’ve got all my stuff up together, mortgage and equity payout ready to go. The transfer of equity and mortgage mush happen in two weeks by court order.

Ex Husband has not signed anything and I believe someone has moved into the house with him...

What do I do now if he doesn’t cooperate. My solicitor is on holiday at the moment so can’t ask her and it’s worrying me now.

Fingers crossed he leaves then, if he doesnt leave i would call the police as the house will be in your name and he will have no rights to be there.

Fightingback16 · 24/02/2021 09:04

I think he will leave but I had the list of what he will be taking from the house yesterday. Court ordered us to split the contents and he send me a list of what he wants. He is taking absolutely everything. All the kitchen appliances, furniture literally it all....

Solicitor has said this is common and not much they can do without spending money on solicitors that i may as well spend on new stuff...what an arse to leave his child with nothing in the house..

Be glad you are rid of him once and for all.

Showing who he is by taking all the stuff and leaving a child with nothing, maybe respond to his letter stating it was court ordered to be split and he is leaving his child with nothing. Might not do any good but at least you tried.

Stuff can be replaced

The roof over you head is the only thing to focus on now.

Crossing everything for you

BlueThistles · 24/02/2021 13:06

Challenge the list....

Save your sanity, get him out and buy new stuff. Then you can look at it and think how much better off you are without him.

Whereas he can look at all the stuff in his new house and remember what an arsehole he is Thanks
