What is the role of a franchisor and franchisee?

I have an issue with a club my daughter attends.

I've recently found out it is a franchisee?

I'd like to raise a complaint

Is there a set process I need to follow?

If your issue is to do with a specific thing that has happened at this specific branch of the club then I'd make your complaint to them in the first instance.

It depends on the franchise. Some are hands on, others not so.

But most places would expect a parent to first raise a complaint to the franchisee first.

The franchisee will be the person in charge of this specific branch. A franchisee pays a business to operate under their brand name initially and then usually a % of their annual turnover.

If you have a complaint bring it up with the franchisee in the first instance. If you fail to see improvement then you could alert the franchiser.
