Good evening,
I am eligible for legal aid as I was in a domestic abusive situation and I am still on maternity allowance, so I have passed the means and metic test.
After a phone call with a friend this evening she said to me legal aid is a loan and will need to be paid back at some point in the future, my case is estimated to be around £8,000 which worries me a lot, as I am not sure how I will be ever able to pay this amount back.
Can anyone please shed any light on the matter?
