Can I send a message to cafcass guardian during court proceedings?

Child has been appointed a guardian in the last week due to us having completely opposite beliefs.
Guardian that has been appointed is our cafcass officer so I know her and have her email address.
Am I allowed to email her?

Context
I told her I was asking for a referral for child. I've now decided not to do that. I think it's important she knows.

Am I allowed to contact her or is this now inappropriate as she is my child's guardian?

I'm self representing so have no idea.
Thank you

Yes you can email the Guardian. He/she is there to represent your child, but in order to do that, they will need to talk to both parents.

I imagine she wouldn't mind as you've already had contact, and you wish to discuss your son/daughter rather than discuss your own needs.

Why have you changed your mind on a referral if you don't mind me asking? If you think it is in the best needs of your child then carry on, are you worried about the other party? As your self representing perhaps discuss it with the guardian to see what they think? As they may have concerns too.
