Death of PIL, no will, small estate - help with C1 + C5 forms Scotland

PIL died with no will. No property and savings below £36k. Surviving spouse in care home, no property to sell. Need to complete a C1 + C5 form. Thought it would be straightforward, but think I'm needing a bit of help!

My DH is assumed to be executor as he had POA, and has dealt with all funeral arrangements etc, and was the only son trusted by his parents with their financials. None of his siblings want to take responsibility for anything legal, so I'm trying to support him with the admin side of things.

Got as far as Q10, and now wondering if there is any legalese required, then seems I need to know proper wording for sheriffdom etc on the declaration form. Any pointers gratefully received!

Thank you :)

If you contact the commissary department at the sheriff court in the area where PIL lived, they will help you with the forms if it’s a small estate. Details will be on the Scottish Courts and Tribunals website.

Your DH will have to be appointed as Executor
