My ll rang and said the agent will be arranging an electrician to come do an inspection on the electrics as there's a new legislation.
. I've read online they check sockets etc. It says about being overloaded..
This is a 1940s house. The fuse box is a 1971 one it's had a breaker put in. But no fuses are labelled. It's a guessing game.

Sockets. We'll the lounge has 1 single socket and 1double. So therefore we have extention leads
Master bedroom 1 x double
Small bedroom 1 x double.. Teen room so xbox etc so extentions again
Middle room 1 double and another thta I think has been spurred off from the ajoining wall from master bedroom. However only 1 plug hole works.
Dining room 1 single socket

Conservatory. Triple light switch but only 2 lights.? Guessing maybe an old outdoor light but we can't find any wiring.. One of the switches often doesn't switch off so we have to remove bulb with a towel as it's obviously hot as been on.
.
Are they likely to suggest more sockets installed? We get by and don't give it much thought. We've just decorated so the thought of a re wire is a bit pants but obviously for safety or legislation I understand.

Also the washing machine has a socket behind. Which obviously if there was a need to switch off in emergency we'd have to pull out the machine.. No isolation switch.
No isolation switch for cooker etc rhat we can see nor fridge etc. (. Not sure if meant to but our old place did)

I’m a LL and have recently had a check on my property From a local electricians.
They won’t penalise you for your extension leads, but will be checking that all the wiring is safe in the whole house.

I had an outside cable disconnected, a re-jig of a junction of something above a kitchen unit, and a new cut out flagged up as being needed.

The whole process probably took about half a day.
Get your sparks to label up the fuse box as he goes round!

You may get more detailed replies if you go on the Property section.
Loads of landlords on there.

It's for the landlord to worry about, not you as a tenant.

If there's anything amiss (it is a safety check, that's all) then the landlord might have to have some works done, which might inconvenience you. But it will be for good reason.
