We have our SENDIST contents and placement appeals at the end of September. The LA are using an external law firm to handle the cases and have a barrister as their representative for the hearings.
They are now saying they want two LA SEND officers to attend too, although it’s not anticipated they will talk apparently. One would be there for training purposes.
I feel like this is another attempt to intimidate me and feels unreasonable, but I’m unsure if they are actually doing anything wrong and can’t find any guidance anywhere. The form suggests they should have one representative only.
Does anyone have any advice on a response to this?
