Lease and land registry issue - buying a house - time scale

Buying our first house we were hoping to be moving in April/May time but obviously corona hit. Our first baby is due in just over 2 weeks so looking for a bit of advice regarding timescales.

Essentially, the Title to the property is Freehold, but the sellers granted a Lease to their mother for her to live in. Therefore, this is also a Leasehold title in their mother’s name which we need to remove. Our solicitor has asked the seller’s solicitor to arrange for the Lease to be determined (cancelled) so that the mother or her decedents do not have any legal right to live there. Our solicitors assure me it is easily resolved and not something to worry about but that it will take some time for the seller’s solicitor to arrange this with The Land Registry.

Does anyone have any idea of the timescale we could be looking at for this to be sorted? The property is currently empty so we can move as soon as we complete.
