Stbxh spat at me, denied it and more

Hi, my stbxh and I still live together with our children. We had a court hearing re. Children recently and he wasn't happy with the outcome. However, nothing has been finalised.

This week, he forgot his keys. I went to see what was happening and he spat at me through the window. I reported to the police and he was arrested. One of our children saw it (that I was spat at) but I can't put them through court as a witness, which could happen.

The police said he acknowledged he was outside the window but denied spitting at me. I found some dried saliva on the window so called the police to update but they said he told them in the interview he was shouting so aerosol could be in the area.

I received a letter from his Sol dealing with family proceedings saying I locked him out (he forgot his keys) and, in summary that I was lying and some nasty threats. I was already upset about what happened but then to be called a liar is very upsetting.

There is a history of low level domestic abuse towards me, which is recorded with the court.

I find it so upsetting that as a victim, I am now being accused of lying and from his Sol letter that I am the one who did something wrong by reporting it.

His solicitor is just writing what he said so it’s not a corroborated viewpoint. Did he spit on you or just on the window?

Thank you for your reply. He spat on my face.
