XH due in court sooon for assaulting me- what dO i need to know?

So CPS have decided to press charges. I get a court date soon. They chose the lowest charge and will likely secure a conviction. DD thinks he deserved more, DS worries about his future employment prospects and the impact on the as yet non existent maintenance. What should I expect? How do I prepare myself emotionally? How do I support my kids? Also posted in relationships.

See if he pleads guilty first...he most likely will if they picked a lower charge and you won't need to attend
