Can you get help with fees if you have instructed a lawyer?

I’ve decided to issue financial proceedings in my divorce. I have a lawyer who has asked me to transfer the cost of the application to them. When I first applied for a divorce I didn’t have a lawyer and got my court fees paid, can I still get the fees paid for this now that I have a lawyer?

Why don't you ask them? No one knows how your case is funded better than them.

I had literally just got off the phone to them and then thought came to me that I filled out a help with fees form with my divorce application. I’m still on universal credit, nothing has changed so was wondering if I could apply for help with fees for FORM A also.

Yes, unless you have a legal aid certificate.

No I don’t have one. I tried but I have assets in the house.

Oh no I have more savings now since I applied for the divorce last year. It says you can’t have over £3,000
