Any wannabe Private Investigators our there?

Am hoping the brains of mumsnet can help me move forward.

I need to find someone's address. We believe they have committed fraud so we want to find their address without alerting them so we can serve a letter. They are UK based but live on one of the Channel Islands.

Some further details:

I have this person's full name and previous address but we think they moved about 2-3 years ago.

We believe they have built a house with the proceeds of this crime but no idea how to check land registry docs by name.

A google search returns old information - no FB etc.

Any ideas or anyone have experience of finding someone this way?

Instruct sheriff officers to locate, or google private investigators for the relevant area.

Thanks jayfeem. Any idea how much they cost?

You could use a tracing company, costs between £50-£100

Thanks, egginabap. Any personal experience on using one?

Yes, I used Vilcol. But if you just google there are loads, and most are no find no fee. Good luck

Thanks egginabap.

@NoPrivateSpy Findermonkey is often recommended. Never used myself but their name comes up often in recommendations. Google the reviews

As far as I know you can’t search land registry by name. You’d need to know the address of the property and then the search will tell you who owns it.
