Can I apply for enforcement and variation of CAO simultaneously?

Just that really.
Was applying for a variation anyway but other parent is now preventing contact unreasonably due to covid-19.
(Background - I agreed to suspend our normal contact temporarily in favour of Skype. She isn’t allowing Skype so our 10 year old is now expected to go a very long time without face to face interaction. There’s no symptomatic isolation or extremely vulnerable people in either household, everyone is obeying the stayhome rules and contact involved an 8 minute car journey between houses).
Have said either it’s Skype contact or we return to normal contact until guidance changes. Should she refuse both I think I need to enforce.

What a time to be going through all this

@Changedname78 id prefer not to but if I do nothing our son faces months without having any face to face interaction with me after years of regular contact and will only be allowed limited audio calls by his mother.

The application is made on form C79, in which you don't specify the method of enforcement. The court will look at variation if that is in the child's best interest. Just complete the C79 and take it from there.
