Just wanted to update on what happened with the police for anyone who read my previous post because I’m really relieved.
It was Thursday I was called by the police officer to say she wanted me in on Saturday at 6pm for an interview under caution on suspicion of leaving the scene of the crash. I arranged for a solicitor to meet me there yesterday and when I got there she was not even there as she was out at an incident and I was told she hadn’t even booked an interview room!
The officers contacted her and told them she didn’t tell me to come in, she apparently said she would let me know after she had spoken to her sergeant whether I should come in or not. What a load of bull, I arranged childcare for my children, organised a solicitor and then she lies and says she didn’t tell me to come in 
So today I got a call off of the very rude officer and told they are not pursuing it because I had in fact passed him my details before leaving so had not committed any crime.
This insurance claim is a load of crap too as they told me the police were backing the other driver which the police have denied and also that the police told them I have already had an interview which again they denied.
I’m confused as to why the insurance would say these things if it’s a load of crap. Are they trying to get someone to admit fault so they don’t have to pay out more money or what?
