What to do if a 'man and van' damages your house whilst bringing in furniture?

I've just had a man and van deliver a piece of furniture. They've forced it through a doorway taking a chunk of laminate off a fire door.

I've said I'm withholding payment until I find out what the landlord will charge for repair. I asked if he had insurance, at first he wouldn't answer, then he said yes.

Any advice on how best to deal with this?

They pay for the damage. If they claim on their insurance to recoup the money, that’s up to them. However they will be difficult. A van knocked part of our gatepost out of alignment. The van was nothing to do with us but our CCTV got the footage! We got the money and this was from a large company. It took forever though!
