Business lease not registered at land registry

I signed a 16 year lease for our family owned cafe business in 2008. I have discovered that our solicitor never formally registered the lease at the land registry. There are now 5 years left on the lease.

Is the lease valid?

Yes. Get it registered asap though.

Thank you. So the lease is valid. But given there is now less than 7 years remaining on lease, the land registry may refuse to register it.
