Urgent, giving evidence legal advice family law

Hi, hoping someone with legal experience can help. I’ve been giving evidence in family court today about allegations almost 2 years old. I was getting stressed with the barristers questions and rather than refreshing my memory by looking at my statement, I guess the dates of when the certain behaviour he was asking me started. I now realise I was months out and that when I spoke to the health visitor I did not raise this specific concern as it had not happened yet. I am continuing giving evidence tomorrow. Will I be allowed to say that having thought more about what they were asking me, I now remember more clearly ? Or is that it! I could kick myself but I was so stressed and couldn’t think clearly

You'd only really be able to correct it if a question was asked that naturally gave you an opening to do so. You can't just randomly bring it up. And if you do get the chance to correct it then you'll be cross examined on the reasons for your error etc.

Well hopefully they will carry on from this tomorrow and I’ll get the chance to correct myself. Fingers crossed

I thought you could ask to correct things in courtr - eg that yesterday I realised ABC and that the courts prefer it so the record can be put straight.

Are you represented? If so your barrister should be able to clear this up in reexamination (questions they ask when the other barrister has finished).
