My db was married for 30 years.his ex'd'w was violent and spent ridiculous amounts constantly.
She wanted a divorce.
Chased him from marital home with a knife.
She is self employed, kept a real set of books for herself and a fake set for the tax man.
She got a great solicitor,my db,shocked and upset, got a rubbish one who he wrongly trusted.
She agreed to the court to sell house for example at 280.000 and give my db 60% of that. She sold it for much more, having got her friend who is an estate agent,to under value it.he still received 60%of the original figure. She took all the furnishings and burnt all of his personal property.
She has two adult sons,a large three bedroom house with no mortgage and gets £400 a month maintenance.
On her 60th birthday, she gets half his pension,£800 per month.
He has a small two bedroom house with a mortgage and has to work to have enough to live on.
She is boasting his her ex husband and disabled new wife are going to be working to have enough to live in and she will be retiring and laughing at them working because of her.
His new wife was not the ow.
She also is demanding he pays the 1000 fee to get pension halved.
She is one of the nastiest people I have ever met.
She took forty thousand from her parents bank account and refused to repay it ,none of her family will talk to her.
My db is broke,at the court settlement, she had taken out a twenty grand loan but told the court it was spent on 'family stuff'and he was ordered to repay the loan despite her spending the lot on herself.
He has recently seen a solicitor who has said there is nothing to be done,is this true?
He is desperate for help.
His ex of course produced the fake set of books to the court. She is fit, belongs to an expensive gym,has a new car, three incomes plus maintenance.
My db has one income,a mortgage and had one plastic chair when he moved in.
Where is the justice?
Please help if you can?💗

  1. When did all this take place?
  1. What proof is there that she hid the true sale price of the property?
  1. What does the order say? Anything inconsistent with what you've posted?

Gosh she’s clever isn’t she?!! Sounds awful OP. Unfortunately people like this to pray on vulnerable people and usually come out on top.

It was a few years ago,he has paid paid £30000 in maintenance and is really struggling.he has seen a solicitor today who agreed he has been treated badly by the court.
I'm not sure how to prove estate agent was working with her.😕
So very sad to see a decent couple struggling whilst she is well off.
Thank you for your replies x
