No.

TitianaTitsling · 10/07/2019 09:32

I wouldn't think so!

yawen · 10/07/2019 09:42

If you're entitled to the 2 bed allowance though I mean.

No think that is just the max payable but would pay less if one bed is less.

JoxerGoesToStuttgart · 10/07/2019 09:46

I think if the rent on the 1 bed flat is more than the LHA for a 1 bed and you’re entitled to 2 bed allowance then they’ll pay up to the 2 bed rate. But I’m not certain.

JoxerGoesToStuttgart · 10/07/2019 09:49

But they won’t pay up to the 2 bed rate if the rent isn’t actually that much IYSWIM.

Example:

LHA 1 bed= £60/ week
LHA 2 bed = £80/ week

Your rent on 1 bed = £70/ week

The will only pay you £70. Not £80 because despite being entitled to a 2 bed allowance, you aren’t actually paying the full cost of a 2 bed.

@JoxerGoesToStuttgart yeah that's the same with if you were actually renting a 2 bed under the allowance. That is what I thought but maybe I'll ask citizens advice or something because everyone seems to have different answers Confused thanks
