Do judges make notes in family court?

In family court, do judges make notes? I was in court recently with my ex, who was rude and aggressive and I spend most of the time shaking and trying not to cry due to a history of DV. The judge was ace and shut him down. I was curious to know though what kind of notes, if any that the judge would've taken?

I'm wondering in case i end up seeing different judges which I'm sure I will!

The hearing will always be recorded and the judge will always take notes. There is no way of ensuring the judge who next deals with your case can pick up where the last one left off but some things you can do are:

1. Ask the judge to reserve the case to them-self.
2. Ask the judge to make recordings in the order about things that the next judge needs to know.
3. If your view of the last hearing is challenged, and the court thinks it’s important enough, a transcript of the hearing can be ordered by the judge.

Thanks @Collaborate - I sat in court the other day. Screen between me and ex due to domestic abuse. I balled my eyes out the whole time as I knew he was feet away from me. I stayed silent. Went stiff as a board and felt so unwell. I just wondered if the judge would've noted any of this. More to explain why I didn't say much. I'm so scared of attending court again.
