Bike removed by property management company

Hi

We live in a block of flats with a bike shed on opposite side of development.
I’ve literally just checked the shed as I was passing by and seen that my bike is gone. Upon checking inside, I found a tag lying on the floor stating that if the tag is not removed from bike before 9 November, it would be disposed of.

I have checked with my husband and neither of us can recall any emails or mailed circulars/reminders from the agent stating this or asking to check any unclaimed bikes.
Am checking with neighbors to ensure we are correct in recall.

I had a newborn at the time and have been out the country for periods since, so hardly had a need for my bike, nor do I normally pass by that side of the development.

Considering the agent is always sending reminders to store bikes in the shed instead of communal areas I hardly think they would just get rid of bikes so easily. The shed is not even that full.

If we are correct in the agent not notifying via email/mail to flat, do we have any recourse?

What does your contract say about storage and disposal of bikes?

Will need to check, but in 12 years of living there of which I have had a bike for at least 10 years, this has never happened.
