Accident at work. Best personal injury solicitors?

Hi everyone. So while I was at work, I was putting stock on the shelves and someone had over filled a rack with large mugs. As I went to take one off the second one fell straight down so I put my hand up to protect my face and ended up with a busted finger and now 6 weeks later I still have a lump in it and the doctor has told me it’s a haemotoma. I want to make a claim as the pain is unbearable it’s like someone continually holding a bruise on the middle of my finger. I’m after a solicitor that could take on my claim. Has anyone had an injury at work and made a claim? Can anyone give me some advice. I live in Manchester so any close by would be great.

There are plenty of well-regarded personal injury solicitors in Manchester - the best known are probably Leigh Day and Pannone. I don't have any personal experience of them or of making a claim. Are you in a union at work?

Yes I am in the union at work x

Go on your unions website, and under member benefits there will be a list of who the union has deals with. They are your best bet.

If you are making an injury claim your union may well organise a solicitor for you and the company might arrange an external medical opinion, that's what happened with my work injury claim. Have you got the paperwork about what happened, anything you can get will help.
